Case Report: Preoperative Hormone Replacement Therapy in Hypocortisol and Hypothyroid Patients with Residual Pituitary Adenoma Tumors

Pituitary tumors are benign that occur in the pituitary gland with a presentation of 10% all intracranial tumors. If size tumor is > 1 cm, called macroadenoma, large will have mass effect so there an emphasis on area and its surroundings. This manifest hyposecretion hormones produced pituitary. We report case 57-year-old male complaints decreased vision since 3.5 months. The patient had previously been diagnosed 6 years ago surgery. After diagnostic steps, residual adenoma hypocortisol hypothyroidism. Hormone replacement therapy was performed by administering methilprednisolone tablets 16 mg-0-8 mg levothyroxine x 50 µg. planned to undergo Endoscopic Endonasal Excision Tumor surgery 125 mg/12 hour preoperative injection methilprednisolon. provision hormone aims correct hormonal imbalances can be intraoperative complication
